With the week end in mind, in the post below, ‘A Tudor Romp’, we offer you a slightly longer than average post to read, perhaps with a cup of coffee to hand or even a glass of wine.

Some of you may have seen an abbreviated form of this item on the Thinking Gardens website. We prepared this version as a double-the-original-length feature, with the idea that this was a pilot review for a book of reviews of contemporary gardens.

We decided, for a variety of reasons not to proceed further with that project for the time being. It therefore makes sense to share this expanded version with you here.

We have also added some more photos to give you a greater sense of what it feels like to be in the garden.

Best wishes

Robert and Lesley
