Oh dear!
I wish I could say that this had been hideously complicated.
It isn’t and wasn’t.
A few slug pellets in the Spring (for which I said several dozen Hail Marys as a penance),
a deep protective mulch in the Autumn
and a warm wall.
As Nigella would smugly say, delivering yet another delicious confection to her waiting guests, ‘It was quite ridiculously easy and the work of minutes!’
But it was yesterday’s ‘look at me!’ in the garden.
And I did.
Several times.

Such a common plant when I was growing up in Mississippi. Now I pine for them but can’t have them, even in a warm spot with a wall. Beautiful.

Each garden has its plusses and minuses.
I sometimes envy your immemorial woods – not in a really green-eyed way you understand.
But they are not exactly Crinum country!
Loved your sculpture posts by the way.
Thanks for your comment.

Dear Robert, Oh how I wish that these crinums were mine. In my next year’s perfect garden [ for that is what it will always be] crinums will be the buxom beauties of my mixed border. J, I am sure, will see to it.

Edith, with J at your behest I am sure you can achieve anything you want.
Thanks for your comment.
(I think I managed to leave a comment on your blog and a few others.
So I am not sure what that problem was about, but that is computers for you.)
Best Wishes
